Responsibilities
- Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries from clients, family members, and referral sources.
- Schedule appointments for clients and coordinate with clinical staff.
- Collect and verify client demographic and insurance information.
- Conduct initial screenings and assist with completing intake paperwork.
- Collaborate with clinical staff on client admissions and authorization processes.
- Maintain accurate client records in the electronic health record system.
- Manage administrative tasks such as sorting mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining the reception area.
- Provide administrative support to clinical staff as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDCA preferred).
- Previous experience in a front office or administrative role, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.
- Strong customer service skills and professional interaction with clients, staff, and visitors.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining confidentiality.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help individuals seeking behavioral health services.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle challenging situations professionally.
