Front Desk Lead/RCMG
About the Role
Lead and support front desk operations at Rush Pediatrics Aurora, Rush Pediatrics Aurora Ridge, and Rush Pediatrics & Family Medicine Oswego. This position works 1-2 days per week at each location and may be required to open any clinic at 7:30 / 7:45 AM if there is a team member call-off. Occasional evening or Saturday morning coverage may be requested.
The role is divided as follows: 25% covering front desk tasks, 25% training, leading, and reviewing the activities of the front desk team, and 50% operational/admin support for clinics and management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as team leader to develop and monitor daily front-office workflow, solve daily problems, and serve as back-up to the manager as needed.
- Create staff schedules and adjust daily staff assignments.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual reports as directed by the Practice Manager for front desk tasks and quality assurance projects.
- Manage supply procurement and inventory.
- Handle Epic templating and UKG timekeeping.
- Assist with onboarding and training of front desk staff.
- Perform front office duties including greeting, registering, and discharging patients.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to general patient requests, and schedule appointments.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of insurance and lead financial collections.
- Update UKG, Epic templates, track PTO, and build/update Excel schedules for 50 people across 3 locations.
- Generate and maintain Excel quality reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Minimum of two years of previous medical practice and/or billing experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is highly desired.
- Epic experience is highly desired.
- Pleasant, effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change, including moving between offices.
- Bilingual (Spanish) capabilities are a plus.
Pay
$18.87 - $29.73 hourly. Salaries are determined by factors including education, job-related experience, skills, and internal equity, as well as industry-specific market data.
