Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Front Desk Coordinator II for their Outpatient Wound Care Clinic. The ideal candidate will embrace the hospital's mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

About the Role

The Front Desk Coordinator II will schedule patient appointments, check patients in and out using electronic medical records, verify insurance, collect account balances, answer and direct incoming phone calls, and deliver messages to providers promptly. They will also assist providers with clerical duties such as scanning and faxing documents, and screen patients with depression screening, pain management assessments, and taking vitals.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Check patients in and out using electronic medical record
  • Verify insurance and collect account balances
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, and deliver messages to providers promptly
  • Aid providers with clerical duties such as scanning and faxing documents
  • Assist with screening patients for depression, pain management assessments, and taking vitals
  • Provide coverage for the medical assistant as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of direct medical office administrative assistant/receptionist/coordinator experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred

  • No weekend requirements

  • Shift differential eligible

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.80 - $24.18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Shift differential is available.

Schedule

The typical daily schedule includes coverage from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The employment type is variable part-time, with approximately 8 hours per week.
