Front Desk Coordinator I
About the role
The Front Desk Coordinator I position at Smile Doctors is a dynamic role within our passionate and caring team. You will greet and receive customers, manage administrative tasks, and support the smooth operation of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Greets and receives customers, determines the nature of their visit, and notifies appropriate team members.
- Performs various administrative duties including answering and screening calls, taking messages, checking-in patients, verifying insurance information, notifying clinicians of patient arrivals, making appointments, printing/reprinting appointment reminders, and school/work excuses.
- Makes changes to the patient schedule as necessary.
- Captures and updates patient information in the chart.
- Coordinates payment arrangements or account resolutions.
- Takes payments and posts to accounts.
- Delivers and receives shipments and mail.
- Drives internal marketing initiatives and fosters participation from everyone.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of administrative experience preferred.
- Bilingual a plus, but not required.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing.
