Responsibilities
- Ensure all issues raised by residents and visitors are handled promptly.
- Respond to telephone calls, resident questions, check-ins, and check-outs.
- Handle other clerical tasks.
- Work flexible hours (Weekends and Holidays).
- Undertake front desk daily duties.
- Keep records of arrivals and departure of residents.
- Attend to residents’ needs and concerns in a friendly and cordial manner.
- Ensure residents follow all in-house rules and policies.
- Handle visitors (family, friends, and delivery persons.) and non-Salvation Army/Sodexo employees working in the building.
- Provide visitors with a visitor’s pass and politely challenge them about their reasons for entering the residence.
- Avoidance of unusual activities through monitoring security video cameras and reporting to administration.
- Process payments for fees.
- Answer calls in a polite, friendly manner and forward calls or take messages as needed.
- Accept packages and faxes and sort out daily mail.
- Contact and inform the maintenance department of the floor number when the fire alarm rings.
- Maintain log for borrowed resident keys.
- Handle application and other clerical tasks.
- Assist with room inspections as needed for current and incoming residents.
- Maintain log for keys.
- Prepare welcome packages for all arriving guests as needed.
- Supervise security guards.
- Monitor use of the fitness center, including securing and processing approved “Informed Consent and Waiver of Liability” for residents participating in fitness activities and programs using the fitness room.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Salvation Army administration.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
