Responsibilities
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled exciting environment promoting superior guest service, and working harmoniously with team members.
- Has the resiliency to deal with difficult guest in all types of business conditions.
- Greets all guest with proper introduction, in an energetic and enthusiastic manner.
- Answers telephone calls in friendly voice.
- Registers all guests in and out of the hotel in an accurate and timely manner while demonstrating an upbeat and professional demeanor.
- Processes guest payments and accounts upon checkout in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
- Maintains confidentiality and safeguards data.
- Sets guest accommodations in accordance with procedures and policies.
- Handles assigned bank in accordance to established internal controls properly and performs accurate account postings to guest folios.
- Maintains knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups, promotions and other situations affecting the daily operation.
- Accepts same day and advance reservations as required.
- Maintains guest relations in a positive manner.
- If unable to satisfy guests' complaints, refers guest to appropriate personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Handles multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.
Qualifications
- Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to keyboards, telephones, fax machines, copiers and printers.
- Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to work alone and perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
