Job Summary
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ridgecrest Conference Center serves over 50,000 guests annually, impacting lives for God's glory through purposeful hospitality. Front Desk Associates play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and purposeful experience for guests.
Essential Job Duties
- Coordinates guest arrival logistics by preparing group welcome packets, issuing meal tickets, and programming electronic room keys.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the reservation process, providing accurate information, updating booking details, and communicating effectively with guests and relevant Conference Center departments.
- Delivers exceptional guest service by responding to inquiries, providing directions, facilitating check-ins, and relaying guest requests to appropriate teams with professionalism and courtesy.
- Executes cashier responsibilities, including accurately receiving, processing, and reconciling guest payments in accordance with established procedures.
- Handles lost and found management and monitors Front Desk supply inventory, ensuring organized operations and timely replenishment of materials.
- Affords assistance with end-of-conference procedures, including account reconciliation and billing support, to ensure accurate financial closeout.
- Performs Night Audit and computer system functions, including posting room charges, completing audit cut-off, batching and processing credit cards, completing end-of-day processes, and checking out groups.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Customer service or hospitality experience (minimum of 6 months); or Office clerical work and/or computer or cashier experience (minimum of 6 months).
- Previous experience using SMS Host or other property management systems (Preferred).
Physical Requirements
- This job requires working irregular schedules (nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively and use good public relations skills.
- Extended periods of sitting, working on a computer, and viewing screens.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and on-call support.
- Accuracy and timeliness are necessary in performing job tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay and Schedule
The position starts at $15.00 per hour, plus shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Pay may be negotiable depending on experience. Schedules include Weekends, nights, and holidays, with 2nd Shift typically 4-10pm but can be 2-10pm, and 3rd Shift 10pm-8am.
