About the role
The Front Desk Associate role at Planet Fitness involves providing a superior level of customer service to members, guests, and fellow PF team members. The position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various responsibilities within a welcoming and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with any questions or concerns.
- Help promote the Judgement Free Zone® by interacting with members and supporting their fitness journeys.
- Resolve member concerns and escalate issues to a Manager if necessary.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
- Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, cancellations, and transfers.
- Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs.
- Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
- Regularly clean and sanitize exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities.
- Maintain restrooms and communal spaces by following the cleaning schedule.
- Address and resolve maintenance and facility concerns promptly.
Requirements
- 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Physical demands include continual standing, moving, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing.
