Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling appointments.
- Check patients in and out efficiently.
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Enter and update patient demographics accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Scan and upload documents into patient charts.
- Cookordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Previous medical front office or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems and insurance verification is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care.
