Position Overview Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Associate to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist patients throughout the check-in and check-out process, and help ensure the smooth daily operation of our medical office. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner. Check patients in and out for appointments. Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Collect copayments and other patient balances as needed. Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department. Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic medical record system. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Assist with general administrative duties to support daily office operations. Qualifications Previous medical office or healthcare customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment. Comfortable using computers and learning electronic medical record systems. Professional demeanor and a patient-focused attitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
