Ocean House Management operates three luxury properties in Westerly, RI: the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Ocean House (49 guest rooms, 18 suites, 12,000 sq ft spa, 10,000 sq ft of meeting space, and up to 8 dining venues), the Weekapaug Inn (31 guest rooms, 4 suites, farm-to-table dining), and the Watch Hill Inn (21 suite-style rooms with in-room iPad service).

About the role

The Night Auditor/Guest Relations Agent is the overnight guest liaison, ensuring a seamless, Forbes 5-Star experience while performing nightly audit duties and security checks. The role requires flexibility to work both evening (3 pm–11 pm) and overnight (11 pm–7 am) shifts, with consistent scheduling efforts balanced against seasonal demands (Memorial Day–Columbus Day). Weekend and holiday availability is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Process nightly audit sequences, balance functions, and verify credit-card transactions and batch reports.
  • Conduct scheduled walk-throughs and security checks of public areas.
  • Check guests in and out according to company standards.
  • Answer phones, handle guest requests, and book future reservations.
  • Resolve guest challenges in person, by phone, or in writing; act as concierge when needed.
  • Reconcile credit-card charges and process cash and other payments.
  • File correspondence, reports, and paperwork per SOPs.
  • Communicate daily operations updates (events, packages, group arrivals) to staff via reports.
  • Maintain a hazard-free work environment and follow all emergency procedures.
  • Uphold the company’s Statement of Purpose, Service Excellence Pillars, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with the role’s scope.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years of related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; Maestro experience preferred.
  • Guest-facing service experience, preferably in luxury hospitality or high-volume settings.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain composure in tense situations.
  • Strong teamwork, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.

Pay

$19.00–$21.00 per hour.
