About the role

The Marriott Fort Lauderdale North is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Front Desk team. The ideal candidate should have experience in hotel front desk operations, a strong desire to make an impact on others, and an outgoing and engaging personality.

Responsibilities

  • Create a memorable first impression for guests by using an engaging personality
  • Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, including checking in, registering guests, and addressing their needs
  • Resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when issues arise
  • Promote and sell special hotel programs to guests
  • Interact professionally with hotel/resort staff to assist other departments with necessary information
  • Maintain house bank, communicate pertinent information to the manager on duty, and follow set procedures for posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds
  • Absolutely available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Requirements

  • Hotel Front Desk Agent experience desired
  • Marriott experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • A strong desire to make an impact on other people
  • Above average computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
