About the role
The Marriott Fort Lauderdale North is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Front Desk team. The ideal candidate should have experience in hotel front desk operations, a strong desire to make an impact on others, and an outgoing and engaging personality.
Responsibilities
- Create a memorable first impression for guests by using an engaging personality
- Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, including checking in, registering guests, and addressing their needs
- Resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when issues arise
- Promote and sell special hotel programs to guests
- Interact professionally with hotel/resort staff to assist other departments with necessary information
- Maintain house bank, communicate pertinent information to the manager on duty, and follow set procedures for posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds
- Absolutely available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Hotel Front Desk Agent experience desired
- Marriott experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- A strong desire to make an impact on other people
- Above average computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
