Responsibilities
- Aids in pre-registration and room blocking for reservations.
- Handles guest registration and communicates hotel amenities.
- Manages guest check-ins and check-outs during shifts.
- Uses proper telephone etiquette.
- Sets up rooms according to guest requests when possible.
- Verifies guest payment methods and follows credit-check procedures.
- Maintains guest satisfaction and ensures a positive experience.
- Knows room locations, types, and rates.
- Presents room options and assists guests in making choices.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and other services.
- Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department.
- Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of the front desk area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 0-2 years of experience.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Must be able to speak and understand primary guest languages.
- Working knowledge of reservations department.
- Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Sales-minded personality.
- Physical abilities: fingering, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity, lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
