Responsibilities
- Confirm reservations, assign rooms, and issue/activate room keys.
- Process payments including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit.
- Handle check-outs, resolve late and disputed charges.
- Answer, record, and process guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping for room readiness.
- Communicate parking procedures and dispatch bell staff or valet staff.
- Provide guests with directions and local information.
- Run daily reports, identify special requests, and check reports for accuracy.
- Complete designated cashier and closing reports.
- Cash personal checks and traveler's checks, count bank, balance receipts.
- Follow safety and security policies, report incidents.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and asset protection.
- Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities.
- Speak clearly and professionally, answer phones with appropriate etiquette.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of local area attractions and transportation options.
