Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serve as the FRIB Laboratory Fiscal Officer, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and safeguarding the Laboratory’s fiscal integrity;
  • Represent FRIB to internal and external stakeholders, including the U.S. Department of Energy, on stewardship of public funds;
  • Support strategic goals related to financial compliance, transparency, and accountability.

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in accounting, finance, management, or a related field;
  • More than eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive technical and managerial work experience in accounting, finance, management, or a related field;
  • Two or more years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience with the regulatory framework and expectations of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science;
  • An equivalent combination of the education and experience listed above.

Desired Qualifications

  • Essentials of Research Administration;
  • Experience in administration of sponsored programs (grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts).
