Responsibilities

  • Identify Prospects: Through research, networking, and market analysis, identify and target potential clients in the freight and logistics industry.
  • Generate Leads: Utilize cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and industry events to generate leads.
  • Develop and Present Solutions: Develop and present tailored freight solutions to meet client needs, conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate terms and close sales contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for freight services.
  • Consult and Develop Solutions: Understand client needs, develop customized freight solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize these solutions.
  • Manage Accounts: Provide excellent customer service, address client inquiries and issues, and handle service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of freight solutions and contribute to team goals.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and close contracts.
  • High level of customer service orientation, with a commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Familiarity with logistics and freight management systems is a plus.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the freight, logistics, or transportation industry.
