Responsibilities
- Identify Prospects: Through research, networking, and market analysis, identify and target potential clients in the freight and logistics industry.
- Generate Leads: Utilize cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and industry events to generate leads.
- Develop and Present Solutions: Develop and present tailored freight solutions to meet client needs, conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate terms and close sales contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for freight services.
- Consult and Develop Solutions: Understand client needs, develop customized freight solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize these solutions.
- Manage Accounts: Provide excellent customer service, address client inquiries and issues, and handle service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of freight solutions and contribute to team goals.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and close deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and close contracts.
- High level of customer service orientation, with a commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
- Familiarity with logistics and freight management systems is a plus.
- Results-driven and self-motivated.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the freight, logistics, or transportation industry.
