Freight Operations Coordinator

Pay: $52,000 to $62,000 a year Total Services, Inc. is a Louisville logistics company with our own trucks through our sister company, P and L Express, Inc., and carrier partners we have worked with for years. We move truckload, LTL, local cartage, refrigerated, flatbed and expedited freight across the lower 48 and Canada, for customers who have been with us a long time. This is the seat the day runs through. We want someone who gets every detail right, puts the customer first, and keeps asking why a job is done the slow way, then builds the better way. What you'll doKeep our carrier partners strong: work with the carriers who have run for us for years, and grow that group so every load goes to a partner we trust.Know our core accounts cold: their freight, their docks, their people, so every load goes out right the first time.Build the daily pickup and delivery plan for our local drivers, keep trailers moving at the dock and keep the dropped trailer pool stocked for our core accounts.Keep the data right: skid counts, weights, dimensions and linear feet off the driver paperwork, entered right the first time.Tell customers what is happening before they have to ask, by phone and in writing, and catch the problem while it is still small.Find the manual work and fix it. Use AI and the tools we already run to build processes that become standard and run on their own.Report where everything stands in the 8:30 and 2:30 operations meetings and set up the next day. What you'll bringTwo or more years in transportation, logistics, dispatch or another fast, detail heavy operations seat.Working knowledge of DOT rules and hours of service.Real speed in a transportation management system (TMS) and in Excel.Accounts you personally owned, where you were the one the customer called.A process you built or automated, with AI or anything else, that people still use.
