Freestanding ER Clinical Nurse Leader RN
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, you will ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. Collaborating with the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalize nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
- Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Implement courses of action for training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or equivalent certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) – must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
