About the Role
Join Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, as an Evans Freestanding ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) RN. This role ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all unit/department functions during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures. The role supports the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participates in ongoing assessment of patient care services quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalizes nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
- Provides recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommends and implements actions for training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- 1 year of experience required.
