Freelance Video Editor (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking high‑energy Freelance Video Editors to join our fast‑moving creative bench supporting our sports, entertainment, and media division during peak high‑volume periods. You'll collaborate closely with the core post‑production team to craft high‑impact, fast‑turnaround video assets ranging from 30‑second commercial and promotional spots to cutdowns, interviews, and platform‑native social content. This is a contract, telecommute position.

Responsibilities

• Edit high‑volume, quick‑turn short‑form promotional spots, commercials, narrative campaign cuts, and interview edits.
• Craft engaging, platform‑native vertical video content optimized for mobile viewing on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.
• Adapt larger campaign assets into dynamic cutdowns while maintaining brand standards and narrative impact.
• Work collaboratively with creative leads and post‑production teams to meet tight deadlines without compromising visual quality.

Qualifications

• Agency & Short‑Form Background: Proven experience delivering fast‑turnaround edits in a fast‑paced agency or post‑production studio environment.
• Social & Vertical Video Expertise: Deep understanding of current social trends, platform best practices, and hook‑driven vertical story structuring.
• Sports & Entertainment Portfolio: A reel featuring dynamic short‑form promos, 30‑second commercial spots, live‑action sports/entertainment clips, or narrative campaign work.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign).
• Bonus Points (Motion Graphics Talent): Strong After Effects background for titles, lower thirds, transition packages, and graphic overlays; experience with 3D design and animation tools (e.g., Blender). Candidates with advanced motion graphics capabilities may be considered for expanded roles closer to full‑time capacity.

Pay

Compensation range: $60–$72 per hour. Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
