Freelance DIY Upcycler - San Francisco, CA
About the Role
Collective Press is looking for creative DIY Upcyclers to work on one-off shoots in our San Francisco studio. We are a digital media startup producing online videos in lifestyle verticals such as cooking, DIY, and beauty. This role offers immersion in digital and social media content creation. Shoots are typically half days (4 hours) or full days (7 hours) and may be recurring based on video needs and your expertise.
Responsibilities
- Work on assigned video shoots as an upcycling expert, building/creating projects on camera as the "hands" in the video.
- Create materials orders and clear, concise step-by-step lists for each project.
- Develop original ideas and designs for upcycling projects.
- Collaborate with team members to produce videos to specification.
- Clean up materials and tidy the workspace after video wrap-up.
Requirements
- Passionate about transforming a variety of materials, including old or unused items, into something new.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety practices.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
