Freelance audio technicians near Miami, FL

iProbe Multilingual Solutions, Inc. is seeking freelance Audio Technicians in and around Miami, Florida with live events and staging experience to set up, operate, and strike Simultaneous Interpretation Systems during events at hotels, conference centers, corporate offices, and museums.

About the role

Systems are wireless (RF or IR). Positions include junior assistant, senior, and lead audio technicians. Jobs mainly consist of setting up isolation booths, wireless interpretation equipment in the VHF band (72 MHz) or using digital IR for 20-200 attendees in the same (small) room, and monitoring the wireless audio during events.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike wireless Simultaneous Interpretation Systems (RF or IR)
• Identify sources of noise and troubleshoot wireless systems
• Set up isolation booths and wireless interpretation equipment
• Maintain a professional and polished image under all circumstances
• Effectively communicate and work with clients
• Monitor wireless audio during events
• For lead and senior techs: interface with clients, work independently, and take charge

Requirements

• Experience with wireless systems (RF or IR)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Professional and client-friendly demeanor
• Valid driver’s license and/or own vehicle is a plus
• For lead and senior techs: solid experience in RF and A1/A2 experience preferred
• For assistant techs: interest in working in AV and willingness to learn

Pay
