Freelance audio technicians in Orlando, FL

iProbe Multilingual Solutions, Inc., a New York City based company, is seeking freelance Audio Technicians in and around Orlando, Florida with live events and staging experience.

About the role

Technicians will set up, operate, and strike Simultaneous Interpretation Systems during events at hotels, conference centers, corporate offices, and museums. Systems are wireless (RF or IR) and typically serve 20–200 attendees in the same small room. Responsibilities include setting up isolation booths, wireless interpretation equipment in the VHF band (72 MHz) or digital IR, and monitoring wireless audio during events.

Responsibilities

• Set up and strike isolation booths and wireless interpretation equipment (RF or IR)
• Operate and monitor wireless audio systems during events
• Identify sources of noise and troubleshoot technical issues
• Maintain a professional and polished image in client-facing environments
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Lift 50+ lbs as required

Requirements

• Experience with wireless systems (RF or IR) and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and take charge (for lead/senior roles)
• Professional demeanor and strong client-service skills
• Valid driver’s license and/or own vehicle is a plus
• Willingness to adhere to dress code: business (black suit and tie) or show black

Qualifications

• For lead/senior roles: A1/A2 experience with RF and client-facing expertise
• For assistant roles: Interest in AV, service-minded attitude, and willingness to learn
• Experience setting up full isolation booths or RF/IR simultaneous interpretation systems is preferred

Freelance opportunities are available for junior assistants, senior technicians, and lead technicians. Evening and weekend work may be available for those with full-time employment.
