About the role

This is a full-time, dayshift position (Monday - Friday) based at our headquarters in Warren, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Travel – 10%.
  • Detailed review of reports to identify suspected acts of wrongdoing.
  • In-depth review of video to detect inventory theft, fraud, or suspicious activity.
  • Combine data into comprehensive reports for clients and field team members.
  • Provide coherent and informed in-person and/or telephone guidance to team members.
  • Work with field and HQ team members to identify inventory shortage opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Update and provide “How To” guides on remote viewing, DVR setup, and other related topics to assist field team members.
  • Provide support to field team members regarding remote viewing, report viewing, and other Market C theft issues.
  • Effectively communicate identified issues to the field, Equipment Technology, Inventory Control, or IT, and provide recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Market C team (Equipment Technology) regarding identified issues (DVR setup, camera positioning, 365 issues, etc.).
  • Track and monitor Fraud & Loss assets related to Market review.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database for remote viewing.
  • Work with clients’ Loss Prevention teams as needed; establish rapport and represent AVI Fraud & Loss.
  • Review and analyze inventory results to identify potential theft.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, or 1 year of experience in research, reviewing, analyzing/developing information, and making appropriate decisions.
  • Detailed report writing and/or case management experience.

Skills

  • Strong computer and software skills, including use of databases and spreadsheets.
  • Clear communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement courses of action.
