About the role

The Fraud Analyst position at HAPO Community Credit Union is dedicated to investigating and resolving fraud cases, including identity theft or unauthorized usage of accounts and services. This role involves answering high volumes of phone calls, assisting with member inquiries, filing necessary documentation, and collaborating with the Compliance Department.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve fraud cases
  • Ask questions and fill out paperwork related to potential fraud incidents
  • Absorb and assist members in changing account numbers
  • Discover the source of the fraud and notify proper authorities
  • Brainstorm new techniques to prevent future fraudulent activity
  • Ensure accuracy in transaction postings
  • Work with a large capacity of work, minimizing errors
  • Multi-task effectively
  • Communicate with members on sensitive issues
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Compliance Department
  • Pull and monitor/process reports daily
  • Understand and comply with Regulation CC requirements
  • Provide periodic training to front line staff

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Hourly Pay Range (DOE): $23.42 – $35.12
  • Schedule: Must be able to work M-F, 35-40 hours a week between the hours of 9:00am – 6:00pm
