About the role
Lead and coach a team of framers focusing on building customer relationships while creating custom framing solutions for art.
Responsibilities
- Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.
- Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
- Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
- Achieve and manage team KPIs.
- Review sales and production workload, build plans, and manage sales floor time for networking.
- Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
- Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Interview, on-board, coach, observe, and train new Team members; support Talent Development activities; participate in Performance Management activities of your team; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
- Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with Omni-channel processes.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous custom framing experience preferred.
- Retail management experience preferred.
- Experience leading a sales team.
Physical Requirements
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment
- Public retail store setting taking care of customers.
- All public areas are climate controlled.
- Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
- Some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
- Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
- Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
