Reports to: Metals Supervisor. Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Shipping.
About the role
The fabricator is responsible for the production of MIRATECH products and components to meet internal and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals.
- Operate Waterjet and Press Break.
- Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs.
- Meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
- Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
- Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
- Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
- Cut and shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Prior work experience as a Metal Fabricator.
