About the role

We're partnering with a highly respected systematic trading firm to build a brand new High Frequency Trading business from the ground up. As one of the founding FPGA Engineers, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's hardware strategy, influencing architecture decisions, and developing cutting-edge FPGA solutions for ultra low-latency trading infrastructure.

You'll work alongside world-class Trading Engineers, Quantitative Researchers, and Technical Leaders to design and optimize hardware for market data processing, exchange connectivity, and order execution where deterministic performance and every nanosecond matter.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ultra low-latency FPGA solutions for trading infrastructure
• Build hardware acceleration for market data, exchange connectivity, and order execution
• Optimize networking, hardware pipelines, and deterministic performance
• Collaborate with FPGA, C++, and Quantitative Engineering teams
• Work on greenfield technology with genuine technical ownership from day one

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an FPGA Engineer
• Genuine passion for high-performance hardware design
• Experience building latency-sensitive FPGA systems in performance-critical environments (trading experience beneficial but not essential)
