About the role
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst and Support Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to provide insightful financial analysis for products, investments, and transactions, monitor financial and accounting trends, and drive initiatives within the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide insightful financial analysis for products, investments, and transactions.
- Maintain awareness of financial and accounting trends impacting the industry.
- Drive initiatives within the team, department, and occasionally division under general guidance.
- Participate in the annual financial planning process, developing presentations for executive management.
- Analyze and explain IFRS and Statutory financial reports.
- Occasionally prepare and communicate financial results to senior management.
- Understand complex investment and actuarial topics to enhance business leverage.
- Develop content and communication strategies to strengthen relationships with business partners, the parent company, and rating agencies.
- Support governance and routine check-ins with Allianz Life and parent company Allianz SE.
- Track market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify trends and opportunities.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis aligned with company growth strategies.
- Communicate complex subjects effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, utilizing strong PowerPoint skills.
- Deliver high customer satisfaction in responding to Allianz SE requests.
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
- Lead teams and manage special projects to successful completion, keeping management informed.
- Coordinate project meetings appropriate to size and scope.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and ad-hoc requests.
- Contribute to team processes and serve as a technical lead for deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in resolving inquiries and problems.
- Quickly understand financial reporting.
- Familiarity with life insurance and annuity business, company products, structure, and staff, including some exposure to basic accounting and actuarial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of additional Microsoft products (Visio, SharePoint, SQL).

Pay
Base Salary Range: $69,000 - $103,500
Schedule
This role is full-time.
