About the role
The FP&A Associate will provide holistic financial management of a portfolio of ~1GW of thermal and utility-scale renewable power plants in operations. Responsibilities include monthly performance reviews, forecasting EBITDA and earnings, annual budgeting, identifying financial risks and opportunities, and collaborating with asset management and operations leaders to optimize financial performance. The role also involves supporting lender and tax equity relationships and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and forecasting of EBITDA and earnings.
- Lead annual budgeting processes for a portfolio of power plants.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, working with cross-functional teams to optimize performance.
- Support lender and tax equity relationship management and reporting.
- Build and maintain 3-statement financial models from scratch.
- Coordinate projects across functions and influence without direct authority.
- Communicate business drivers and financial insights effectively.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in preparing and coordinating budgets, forecasts, and related reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, including financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis across income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as SAP, BPC, Anaplan, or similar.
- Experience building 3-statement financial models from scratch.
- Financial oversight experience for renewable or thermal power plants (coal power plant experience is a plus).
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant field.
Pay
The expected salary for this position is between $105,000 and $131,325 per year, depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes an annual bonus.
