About the role
You'll be working directly with the founder to build Lucent's growth engine from the ground up. We have momentum with initial users that love us - now the hard problem becomes: how do you turn early traction into a repeatable, scalable GTM motion that takes us from hundreds to thousands of customers?
Responsibilities
- Both motions: nurturing and converting self-serve signups, and running the sales-led cycle for larger accounts
- Sales - outbound, demo, close, expansion - selling to engineering and product leaders at SaaS companies of all sizes
- Marketing - content, positioning, demand gen, and the campaigns that fill the top of the funnel
- The outbound engine, end to end (we run Apollo, Instantly, HeyReach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator today)
- ICP and messaging - sharpening who we sell to and the words that make them lean in
- Onboarding and early customer success, so accounts land and stick
- The GTM systems underneath it all - sequences, segmentation, reporting, tooling
- The feedback loop into product - you'll be closest to what users actually need
Requirements
- You've taken something from 0 to 1 - and then helped push it toward 100
- A generalist who's run both ends of the funnel - marketing and demand gen at the top, sales and expansion at the bottom
- Exceptional at selling technical products to technical buyers
- Comfortable being the first GTM hire
- Moves fast
- High agency
- Sold dev tools, observability, or analytics before
- Know your way around session replay or product analytics (PostHog, Amplitude, Datadog)
- Been a first GTM hire or founding team member somewhere early
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with CRM tools
- Knowledge of SaaS products and market trends
