Founding Gastroenterology Fellowship Director- St. Joseph's Hospital - Tampa, Florida
About the role
BayCare Medical Group, the largest and most respected physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking an Advanced Endoscopist to join a growing and well-established team of four Gastroenterologists based at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to expand and enhance GI services, with a particular focus on advancing endoscopic capabilities, including Endoscopic Ultrasound.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an active clinical practice in Gastroenterology.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures consistent with specialty expertise.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of Internal Medicine Residency and ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship (or equivalent training).
- Ability to obtain FL medical license.
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in Gastroenterology following fellowship training.
- Prior leadership experience in an academic medical center, teaching hospital, or fellowship program.

Pay
This position is 70% clinical and 30% administrative. Expecting our first class of Fellows in 2028.
