Advanced Gastroenterology Opportunity with BayCare Medical Group at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida

About the role

BayCare Medical Group, the largest and most respected physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking an Advanced Endoscopist to join a growing and well-established team of four Gastroenterologists based at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Expand and enhance GI services, particularly focusing on advancing endoscopic capabilities, including Endoscopic Ultrasound.
• Collaborate in a collegial, patient-centered environment with Hepatobiliary Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, and Interventional Radiology.
• Gain an established patient base quickly through excellent system support and referral base.
• Play a key role in further developing advanced procedural offerings.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Advanced Gastroenterology Fellowship.
• Inpatient call schedule of 15, rotated equally.
• Procedures and inpatient consults performed at St. Joseph's Main Hospital, a 550-bed Level 2 Trauma Center and Tampa’s only top-rated hospital named one of America’s best for five years in a row.

Qualifications

• Board eligibility/board certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology.
• Ability to obtain a Florida Medical license.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
