Gastroenterology Opportunity with BayCare Medical Group at South Florida Baptist Hospital - Plant City, Florida

About the role

BayCare Medical Group, the largest and most respected physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking two dynamic Gastroenterologists to enhance and expand GI services at South Florida Baptist Hospital, a 146-bed hospital located in the growing community of Plant City, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Help meet the overwhelming need in the Plant City and surrounding communities.
• Work in a brand-new replacement hospital that opened in the Spring of 2024.
• Operate in three endoscopy suites with ample scheduling available, in addition to a full complement of scopes, and experienced endoscopy staff.
• Share ER call responsibilities with community Gastroenterologists, with ER at South Florida Baptist Hospital expected to handle 38,000 visits annually.
• Be part of a single Hospitalist group onsite.
• Practice in a multi-specialty medical office suite attached to the hospital.
• Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility by The American Board of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology.
• Ability to obtain a Florida medical license.
