Gastroenterology - IBD, AdventHealth Tampa

Overview

AdventHealth is seeking an IBD fellowship-trained physician to join their growing team in Tampa, Florida. The Digestive Health Institute Tampa is a newer program encompassing advanced foregut, HBP, liver surgery, colon and rectal surgery, and general surgery. The GI practice is supported by medical assistants, scribes, and program support staff.

Requirements

• Board certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA)
• Fellowship training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Practice Description

The West Florida Division Medical Group is rapidly expanding to meet community needs. Over the past six years, the group has nearly tripled in size, projecting to have 835 providers by the end of 2025. Services include adult and pediatric emergency care, cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, and sleep medicine. The group spans eight counties and operates in fifteen AdventHealth hospitals.

AdventHealth Tampa is a 626-bed tertiary hospital located in the city's uptown district. Known for its leadership in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures, it opened the Taneja Center for Surgery in 2021. It houses the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute and offers a variety of specialty services, including 24-hour emergency care, cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, and sleep medicine.
