About the role

The renowned Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Director of Gastroenterology to lead and expand our growing gastroenterology program at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities

- Provide clinical and strategic leadership for the gastroenterology program at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital - Partner with regional and enterprise leaders to grow and develop comprehensive digestive health services - Support recruitment, mentoring, and professional development of gastroenterology physicians and advanced practice providers - Lead initiatives focused on quality outcomes, patient experience, and operational excellence - Maintain an active clinical practice in outpatient gastroenterology – no inpatient hospital call.

Requirements

- MD or DO degree - Board certification in Gastroenterology - At least 10 years of relevant clinical experience - Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with hospital and institute leadership

Qualifications

- Demonstrated success in leading and expanding gastroenterology programs - Experience in developing and implementing innovative care models - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to maintain an active clinical practice in outpatient settings
