About the role
The role is a founding account executive position at Clara, a legal AI company based in Toronto and San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Define and build the sales function from the ground up
- Identify legal needs for tech companies and investment firms
- Demonstrate a new paradigm of service delivery
- Shape the entire GTM strategy, sales playbook, and pricing models
- Partner with founders to develop the ideal customer profile, messaging, and end-to-end sales processes
- Collaborate with the legal and product teams to translate technical AI capabilities into compelling, value-driven narratives for General Counsels
Requirements
- 3-10 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably selling professional services or complex legal technology
- A proven track record of building from zero, with the "hustle" required to manage the full sales cycle independently
- Exceptional communication skills and a deep curiosity about legal workflows and the potential for AI-driven transformation
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with cold calling and relationship-building
- Knowledge of legal technology and AI
