Responsibilities

  • Preparation of timely month end closing
  • Providing an analysis and understanding of financial results
  • Preparing detailed reconciliations
  • Preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and providing meaningful analysis of actual vs. forecast and budget
  • Assisting with audits, continuous improvement, organization and documentation, special projects, and other accounting related duties as assigned
  • Supporting month-end closing, preparation of journal entries, and other financial closing requirements
  • Maintaining and improving internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accounting policies
  • Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts
  • Provide meaningful analysis of actual results vs. budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare and reconcile various balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and maintain work instructions, documentation, and records
  • Identify and drive recommended cost savings and process improvement opportunities
  • Excellent Excel skills and the skills to maintain ERP cost and ledger systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Able to support other accounting functions and collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve financial discrepancies
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Ensure work is accurate
  • Team player and able to collaborate with multi-departments
  • Able to work well with external contacts
  • Good time management and planning skills, and meet deadlines
  • Understand general ledger accounts and reconciliations
  • Adhere to all Company policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
