About the role

The Foster Matchmaker Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that animals in need find loving homes. They are responsible for matching potential adopters with suitable foster families based on the animal’s needs and personality.

Responsibilities

• Match prospective adopters with suitable foster families based on animal needs and personalities.
• Communicate regularly with both adopters and foster families to ensure the animals are being cared for properly.
• Ensure all foster animals are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
• Document all interactions and progress reports for each foster animal.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive support for foster care programs.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience working with animals or familiarity with animal welfare organizations is a plus.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of experience in a customer service or administrative role.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
