Foster Matchmaker (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Review incoming dogs and their individual needs, including age, size, medical considerations, energy level, and temperament.
• Match approved foster families with dogs based on their experience and preferences.
• Send foster opportunity emails using our database and email platform.
• Communicate with approved fosters to answer questions and coordinate placements.
• Collaborate with our Intake, Foster, Medical, and Adoption teams to ensure smooth placements.
• Conduct virtual FaceTime home visits for foster applicants when needed.
• Help update internal tracking systems to keep placement information organized and current.

Requirements

• Commit approximately 5-7 hours per week.
• Check email consistently and respond in a timely manner.
• Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Communicate professionally, warmly, and confidently.
• Work well independently while collaborating with a remote team.
• Be comfortable making thoughtful decisions and balancing multiple priorities.
• Have experience fostering, adopting, volunteering with an animal rescue, or working with dogs (strongly preferred).
• Be comfortable learning new systems such as Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and email platforms.
• Experience with Mailchimp is a plus, but not required.
