Description
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has since expanded to operate across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care programs, all of which are trauma-informed and evidence-based.
What will you do as a Foster Care Coordinator?
- Support, guide, coordinate, and intervene in the lives of assigned youth and families within the Foster Care program.
- Ensure documentation for foster children complies with regulatory standards, manage health records, and ensure treatment plans and authorizations adhere to policy.
- Provide effective crisis response as needed.

Requirements
- Valid Driver License and meeting any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in.
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Meets designation as a Qualified Professional in NC
