Responsibilities

  • Operate in agile two-to-six-week delivery cycles with direct stakeholder feedback; surface constraints early, validate hypotheses through rapid testing, and ensure deliverables meet stringent "Definition of Done" standards
  • Pioneer innovative interaction models tailored for AI systems, including non-deterministic workflows, human-in-the-loop steering, agent-state transparency, prompt affordances, and graceful degradation/error handling
  • Translate requirements into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes; actively leverage modern design and rapid-code accelerators (for example, Lovable, Claude Code, Builder.IO) where policy permits to increase capacity of delivery, increase quality, and deliver faster
  • Collaborate closely with engineers on context engineering and design-led evaluation and qualitative testing; partner side-by-side with frontend and AI engineers to bridge design intent and code; inspect technical implementations to guarantee high-fidelity execution, seamless integration, and production-ready polish
  • Act with integrity and professionalism to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

  • Bachelor's degree in interaction design, HCI, computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college/university preferred; or a minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required with six years of equivalent practical experience
  • High proficiency with industry standard design and collaboration tools, including Figma, Mural, Office 365, and demonstrated experience using modern rapid-prototyping and code accelerators (for example, Lovable, Claude Code, Builder.IO)
  • Strong conceptual understanding of modern AI paradigms (generative interfaces, autonomous agents, RAG workflows)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the presence to lead working sessions, articulate design rationale, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams, skeptical engineers, and executive leaders
  • Domestic and global travel may be required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)
