Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The primary responsibility of this role is to own customer deployments end-to-end. You will work directly with insurance agencies, build integrations into their existing systems, and turn messy real-world workflows into AI agents that work in production.

Responsibilities

• Understand how our agents work across prompts, tools, evals, telephony, and customer systems.
• Join customer calls and implementation workstreams.
• Own active customer relationships.
• Ship quick fixes that unblock go-lives.
• Deliver small customizations that make our agents fit how agencies actually operate.
• Find a second use case inside at least one account, scope it with the customer, and start building it.
• Built or specced something that makes the next deployment materially faster.
• Spot failure patterns across accounts and turn them into product fixes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years shipping production code, fluent in Python, comfortable with APIs and multiple systems talking to each other.
• Familiarity with voice or telephony stacks (Twilio, or similar).
• You have shipped at least one AI application to real users and you know what it takes to make an LLM behave the same way on call 1,000 as on call 10.
• You have designed evals that catch real regressions instead of producing a green checkmark on the wrong thing.
• You are okay reading half-broken docs, reverse-engineering an undocumented endpoint, getting on a Zoom with a vendor's support engineer, and writing the runbook nobody else has written.
• You like talking to customers. You can take tribal knowledge from an agency owner or senior CSR and turn it into a system design, and you can hold the same conversation with someone who has never heard of an API without losing them.
• You move fast, make decisions with incomplete information, and are comfortable challenging the founders when we are wrong.

• $110K to $180K base salary + meaningful ESOPs
