Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Forward Deployed Engineers embed directly with Fortune 500 clients, designing and delivering modern web applications, AI products, and agentic workflows from architecture through production. This is a highly autonomous engineering role requiring both technical excellence and strong client-facing communication. Engineers own projects end-to-end and are expected to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where execution matters more than process.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modern web and agentic AI applications
• Lead technical initiatives from architecture through production deployment
• Work directly with Fortune 500 clients to solve complex business problems
• Present technical solutions to executive and non-technical stakeholders
• Operate independently with minimal oversight
• Travel to client sites approximately once per month
• Ship production software quickly in high-ownership environments

Requirements

• 3–8+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building modern web or AI applications
• Client-facing or customer-facing engineering experience
• High ownership and ability to operate independently
• Experience leading technical initiatives
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Founder, Co-Founder, or CTO experience
• Computer Science or Engineering degree
• Early-stage startup experience
• AI consulting experience
• Experience with agentic coding tools

Pay

$180,000 guaranteed base salary

Uncapped quarterly performance bonus tied to shipped work
