Formulation Technician

Full-time position in Fort Myers, FL. Reports directly to the Processing Lead. Security clearance required for restricted access areas.

About the role

This position formulates value-added products in a controlled manufacturing environment, executes validation studies, evaluates processes and procedures, and inspects and tests equipment. The Formulation Technician works with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, and may interact with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues. Responsible for oversight of the formulation of infused products, the lab area where products are formulated, and the overall formulation processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order, cleanliness, and efficiency of formulation operations, including derivative product handling and facilities maintenance.
• Implement and deploy formulation operations and processes within the processing facility.
• Maintain the quality of formulated product during processing.
• Ensure all processing procedures comply with law, regulation, administrative rules, policy, and procedures.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Wash formulation processing equipment and supplies for reuse.
• Perform formulation, processing, packaging, and labeling of formulated derivative products.
• Conduct validation and stability studies, analyze data, and generate reports.
• Adhere to waste policies for proper disposal of waste.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the facility.
• Maintain and monitor formulation equipment and supplies; monitor inventory and alert management to order equipment and supplies.
• Inform management of problems with source material for formulation processing.
• Maintain knowledge of extraction, processing, and formulation techniques, including solvent extraction, non-solvent extraction, and derivative products manufacturing techniques.
• Complete manufacturing batch records while maintaining good documentation practices.
• Record and monitor data on processing logs.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of assigned area and equipment.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned.
