Formulation Technician
Responsibilities
- Maintain the production area in a clean and orderly manner consistent with GMP standards.
- Handle biological materials and hazardous materials safely.
- Perform tank cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance procedures.
- Prepare glassware, filters, and other production materials needed for manufacturing runs.
- Follow production schedules for manufacturing processes.
- Understand and adhere to quality procedures.
- Operate equipment such as centrifuges, filtration systems, pH meters, balances, and mixers.
- Utilize SAP or other enterprise management software as needed.
Requirements
- AS or BS degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences, or high school diploma with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Formulations experience with liquid or solid formulations.
- Ability to weigh chemicals and raw materials accurately.
- Perform conversion calculations (mg/ml to kg/l).
- Experience measuring aqueous solutions.
- Prior batch-making experience in food, pharma, or chemical industries desired.
- Knowledge of formulation sheets, desired.
- Ability to follow production schedules and quality procedures.
- Experience operating centrifuges, filtration equipment, pH meters, balances, and mixers.
- Preferred experience with SAP or similar enterprise software a plus.
