Brief Description

The Formulation Technician will be responsible for weighing all ingredients and chemicals that will go into a formulation, monitoring, preparing, and maintaining recordkeeping of formulation results.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety, quality, GDP, and GMP Protocols
  • Operates, cleans, and maintains equipment including correct and preventive maintenance on associated equipment as required
  • Ensures compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking and product security
  • Performs in-process and post-process quality assurance sampling, testing, and visual inspections to ensure all products meet the product specifications and customer expectations
  • Records and monitors process conditions to ensure compliance to SOP
  • Properly weighs, records data, and batch tracking throughout the process
  • Executes tests to ensure quality and formulations are being carried as stated by SOP
  • Reports the results of work in both verbal and written forms

Education And/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Requires 2 years of related experience
  • Experience in working in the cannabis industry, or alternatively, in a highly regulated CPG/F&B industry
  • Experience with Cannabis related equipment required
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment
