Forklift Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services
• Support the tire maintenance program
• Perform service calls
• Wash and fuel equipment
• Perform other maintenance duties or assignments
• Lead the care and upkeep of the Maintenance Shop, grounds and all equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with DOT, EPA, OSHA and Company standards
• Be proficient in paperwork and record keeping
• In conjunction with the Parts Department, assure that all necessary materials, parts, service/shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels
• Effectively handle special assignments as directed
• Able to maintain a quality hand tool inventory

Qualifications

• Basic math skills
• Fluent in English
• Able to pass a drug screen

Physical Demands

• The ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a Service Center and Shop environment
• Duties may include standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, and using hand and power tools, with work performed independently or in team settings as appropriate
