Forklift Operator Warehouse

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• High degree of initiative and accuracy, even under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

• Punctuality and good attendance record required.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule availability.

Pay

Up to $24.50 per hour (including productivity incentives), base pay: $18.50 per hour, $0.25 per hour increases at 90 and 180 days, and 3% increase after 1 year.

Schedule

A: Sunday - Tuesday 5am-4:30pm, Wednesday 5am-10:45am.
