Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift - 3:30pm to Midnight

About the role

The Forklift Operator position is part of the Operations Department and reports directly to the General Manager. This role requires flexibility, reliability, initiative, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supports business goals by working the required shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Remains punctual and prepared for work, completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.

• Willing to learn new tasks and seek additional work when required.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings, taking pride in maintaining the cleanliness of the operations building, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintains high standards of quality work, producing accurate, thorough, and professional results.
• Fulfills all written and verbal instructions from management and supervisors.
• Ensures all equipment is inspected before use and reports any malfunctions immediately.
• Adheres to safety protocols and informs supervisors of any unsafe conditions.
• Meets productivity standards and understands the stocking strategy of the operations building.
• Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and reports any product damage or discrepancies.
• Knowledgeable about multiple accounts and job functions within the given operation.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to use a handheld RF Scan Device.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Experience in a non-climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of experience operating a forklift.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar setting.

Pay

$18.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential per hour when applicable.
